About Tammy

Tammy comes from a family of 4th-generation Native Houstonians.  She grew up in the Spring Branch/Memorial area, graduated from Spring Branch High School, and has maintained many life-long friendships.

Tammy was always been on the cutting edge of fashion and began a retail career at a very young age. Working in various Ladies' Clothing Departments while attending high school, Tammy was soon managing the Cosmetic Department at a 'Joske's' (now 'Dillard's'). Her sense of fashion, retail and organization bloomed.

She was then hired by 'The Limited Express' to manage one of the first stores in the Houston area.  Throughout her career, she remained in the retail industry as a high-profile executive, including District Management positions for several corporations.

Tammy was presented with an opportunity to begin a new retail adventure with 'Storehouse', an upscale furniture store.  Here, she applied her unique merchandising skills and educated herself in space planning and furniture design.

Tammy soon discovered she had great enthusiasm for design and decided to enhance her knowledge by attaining professional certification from the Interior Design Society, (IDS).

When Storehouse closed it's doors Tammy was ready for a new challenge...  and what a challenge she got.  Her favorite Uncle was losing his battle with cancer.  Since she wasn't working, Tammy decided to spend as much time with him as possible.

Together, they went through every room; organizing his belongings so that everything would be easier for him now, and for his family later.

It was during this time Tammy realized she had a gift for organizing. She was thrilled by the discovery, knowing that helping people organize their “stuff” would be a rewarding new career!

During an interview by the Houston Chronicle Tammy was asked what skills she uses the most as a professional organizer. Her answer was “ I have always loved working with people and my customer service skills go above and beyond the highest standards” Her skill at organizing and merchandising, along with her design background, add a unique flair to her organizing techniques.

Tammy continues to educate herself in the organizing industry in order to provide the highest quality solutions for her clients. Her compassionate nature and genuine approach to any situation makes her the ideal organizer for you!
